Doesn't sound real plesant and comfortable, does it? He may have an infection back there. The only way to cure it is to take him to the vet. He needs to be examined and probably go on some antibiotics. The vet will work with you as far as payment goes. If you leave him like this, the situation will only become more painful for him. We can't do much over a computer, he needs to see a vet.
