My kitten has developed a kind of sore on the back of her head and shoulder.

I've had my kitten, Nymeria, for a few days now and noticed she's developed a kind of sore on the back of her head and on her right shoulder. I noticed the one on her head first then the one on her shoulder a few days later. Should I be worried? I'd rather not take her to the vet if I don't have to because of the expense, but I don't know what to think.

Panda Bear

Due to the fact that she is a kitten, she NEEDS to go to the vet for her kitten shots. When you bring her in, ask the vet about the sores. Make an appointment now if the lesions are open or have spread or if there is hair loss! It could be mange or a fungus, both of which can be transmittable to humans. ^_^
