First of all, make sure you or others are not restraining Twilight by holding her or trying to cuddle her when she doesn't want to be held. I'm sure she's adorable and everyone wants to moosh all over her, but most cats don't like being confined and will react by biting or scratching. Kittens, like human kids, need to learn what's acceptable and what isn't. That doesn't mean you smack them or yell at them. When Izzie or Delilah bite, I say (but don't shriek) a loud "NO BITE!". I usually get a shocked look but they stop. Never play with Twilight with your bare hands or feet. She will then think those are toys. Use a "hands-off" toy like a feather teaser. Keep playtimes calm. Don't whip toys around and get her all worked up. This causes her to overeact. If you are petting her and she bites, say "NO BITE!" and put her down on the floor or walk away.Have the vet show you how to trim her claws. If she isn't spayed, do so as soon as possible. You can train her with love and kindness.
