My female cat is in heat. She is, for some reason, "spraying" and I don't know why. Is there a way to stop this?

I think your cat is spraying BECAUSE she's in heat. That's a powerful scent message letting any tomcats in the area know that she's available and looking for some company. I'm sure if there are any intact toms nearby, then they're probably responding by peeing on the outside of your house, probably around the doors.
I'm sure others can give you more info, but I think cats can go in heat every few weeks until they either get pregnant or are spayed.

Female cats do spray when in heat. The only way to stop this is to spay her.
