My eats his food and then sneaks over and eats the other cat's food. Is there a reason he eats more than the other cat

My cats regularly play musical bowls. I'm sure it's because Izzie thinks there's something better than what he's got in his bowl in Delilah or Lily Rose's bowl. If your little food bandit is a lot bigger than the other cat, then he may need a high protein food or more of it to fill him up. If you notice that the other cat isn't getting enough to eat and seems too skinny, you may want to start feeding him separately in a room with the door closed so he has a chance to eat. He'll learn he has to finish his food or lose it to the other cat.

I have the same issue, I have 3 kitties and they often look to see what the other cat is eating to make sure the other cat doesn't have something better. Cats also have different metabolisms just like people. My smallest cat Tini which is 6 pounds eats more than my male cat Salem that is 12 pounds, it depends on activity level and metabolism, Tini is a more active cat and has always had a hearty appetite and she's in perfect health. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They are just like people. Sometimes they eat more because they are active or bigger and really need more food. Sometimes they don't need it but will overeat just because the food is there and tasty. My cats also eat out of each others bowls and always want to check that the others haven't got anything better than they have. As long as your other cat is getting enough to eat and the 1st cat is not getting really fat I wouldn't worry about it as this is pretty normal behaviour. If he's getting really fat or your other cat is getting skinny then you may need to feed them in different rooms.
