My cat won't use his kitty litter in our new home. He's in my home country with my wife for 2 days now. What to do?

My cat is currently in the Philippines after a 20 hour flight. He's living at home with my wife. She tells me that he seems to be looking for his old kitty litter which I have yet to send via cargo ship and may take a month to get there. It's been a couple of days now and he hasn't pooed or pee'd yet. Before leaving the States, his vet gave him a clean bill of health. Since his move to the Philippines he hasn't eaten much either. What seems to be the matter with him? He has a temporary box with sand but only shifted thw sand around but didn't "go". What to do?
