My cat... who has never to my knowledge, sneezed, has sneezed several times today. Could he have a cold and if he does,

can I treat him with something at home as I cannot afford to see a vet at this time??

Has he sneezed several times and then not sneezed again? Definitely see the vet if the cat has sneezed several (+) times in a row at different times of the day. I would make an appt with the vet to be sure, but there are some considerations:
1) dust--when you move furniture or vacuum, it gets kicked up
2) watery eye(s) could mean a kitty cold with sneezes
3) seasonal changes? sneezes happen to us...
