Guest is right. If her stools are small and hard, chances are she's constipated. Try giving her a teaspoon of canned solid-pack pumpkin (NOT pie mix!). If her stool seems normal, she needs to go to a vet (I know that's not what you wanted to read, sorry). Anytime blood comes out of anyplace it shouldn't at a time it shouldn't, it needs to be checked out. Remember, we aren't vets here, only cat lovers, and we cannot diagnose what's wrong with your kitty over the Internet. We can't guess about it either and tell you "it's nothing" when it could be serious. A lot of rescues and shelters know of vets who will treat at a reduced cost. Call them and ask. If you already have a vet and you have been a good customer, most will accept monthly payments. Good luck.

Unfortunately, with something like blood, from anywhere, your kitty needs to see his vet.

Call around and find a vet willing to let you make payments. I know that at Houston Humane Society here in Texas, you can get LOTS of medical services at a reduced rate. That's where I take my kitty between paychecks or right after bills have been paid if he needs to go.

I would also suggest for the future, get something for your kitty like ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Some plans are as low as $15/month but cover up to $500 in emergency vet bills - fairly low deductible too. It's a really reassuring feeling to know that if there was something urgent, you could take Kitty in to get some help.

I wish I had more advice to offer you, but at this point, your baby needs to see a vet to tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.
