My cat has just had a dental procedure done at the vet and we noticed he now has a swollen leg. Is this an emergency?
During the procedure he was given a Torbugesic injection for pain control as was also given Anesthesia. Is this an emergency or is this just a side affect to the injection?

Did your vet give you discharge papers with what to look for and an emergency number to call? Mine usually provides the numbers of the 3 closest emergency clinics. If it worries you enough to ask, then it is important enough to make a phone call. Let them tell you if it is most likely just a reaction to the shot or if it's serious enough to require a visit to the emergency clinic. I personally go with my instincts and I would rather waste a visit or call with what seems like a stupid question than to find out later that I should have and lose one of my babies.
Its probably just from the injections but it could be something serious as normally there isn't much swelling from this. Call the vet or their emergency number and explain what's going on and describe the swelling. They'll be able to tell you if it needs checking tonight and put your mind at rest.
