My cat has Diarrhea. She wont even go in her litter box and continues to use the carpet or floor. What should I do?

She was going into the litter box just fine but in the last couple of days she has had diarrhea and has been going outside of the box. She uses my room or the space around the box instead.

Remember that we are not vets here and we cannot diagnose your cat or suggest treatment for her. If your cat has diarrhea, that is not normal. She has some dietary or intestinal issues and she needs to go to her vet to find out why. She is going potty wherever the urge hits her. She is not using the box because she is associating it with pain or something else. Please call your vet tomorrow morning and make an appointment for her. If you don't have a vet for her, now would be a good time to find one. She is not doing this to be "bad", but because she can't help it, and you need a doctor to help you find out why. Good luck and purrs to your little girl.

Izzie is right - your kitty needs to see the vet - diarrhea may be a symptom of something more serious - or it could just be a little virus. You won't know unless you see the vet. Keep your kitty hydrated as well - with diarrhea and the heat your kitty could become dehydrated very quickly. Let us know how it works out.
