Hair loss in a cat can be due to a few things. Is he over-grooming himself? It might be a stress issue if something has changed in your home like a new pet, baby or many visitors over the Holidays. He may also not be feeling well and it's causing him to overgroom. It could also be allergies. Think of when you or someone you know has an allergy attack. You can seem to stop rubbing your eyes or your nose and your skin may prickle and itch. It could also be a flea infestation. Without knowing exactly what's going on with him, it's impossible to even suggest what to do. And, even if we were veterinary professionals here, we shouldn't diagnose or suggest treatment for a cat we've never met and can't do a hands on exam. This condition may progress to his entire body, so your best bet is to at least phone your vet for their advice.
