My cat has an extremely straight line going under her chin and up the sides of her jaw

My friends and I believe it is a swollen vein. My vet is unsure of what it is and suggested a dermatologist, which is rather expensive.

She is about 4 years old.
It has been there for over 3 weeks now with it not changing.
Her behaviorisms are normal as is her feces.
My vet initially thought she had gotten her head stuck some place, which is not the case.
