Allie is absolutely right. Unless you have a degree in veterinary medicine, you should NEVER play Junior Vet with your cat. He may not NEED antibiotics. He may have injured himself and is in too much pain to eat. If he is an outside cat, he may have been attacked by another animal or hit by a car. I know of no vets in my area that would refuse to treat a sick cat. Vets, like teachers, don't go into their careers with the idea of making millions. They have a deep love of animals. If you don't have a vet, call a local shelter or rescue for help. Most have vets on their staff or know of vets who can help you, often for a reduced fee. Your cat can't tell you what's wrong with him and he needs help. Purrs and good luck. Hope he feels better fast!

NO! Human drugs are never ok to give without a vet's advice. Aside from that, antibiotics only do any good if you give them over a period of several days as prescribed. A random antibiotic, especially one that was not prescribed for your cat would do more harm than good. Please call your vet.
