Do you know how many times he was dewormed?? Cats who have worms need multiple dewormings at 2 week intervals to kill all the worms. The first worming only kills the adults, but not the eggs they laid. Subsequent worming will kill the eggs when they hatch but before they lay eggs of their own.
Do you know what kind of worms he has?? How long have you had him?? Does he have fleas or go outside.?? If so you need to deflea him 'cause when they bite they can transmit worm eggs into your kitty. Also, he could be getting worms from soil or catching and eating critters outside. The only way to fix that would be to keep him in or deworm him regularly.
Good Luck!!

If he wasn't at the Humane Society for long he may just have been given 1 worming treatment. Even though he's an inside cat, Midnight could also have picked up worms from being bitten by a flea since you've had him.

Its not a big deal. Take a sample with you to the vet so they can confirm what type they are and they'll give him a worming pill and one for you to take home to give him later.
