My cat ate cat litter and now is very sick, anyone know how to treat this without a vet visit?

Our cat ate cat litter and now is throwing up some odd colors of puke and is overall not very well. We don't have a lot of money so any advise short of a vet vist?

No home remedies. Your cat needs to see a vet ASAP. Sorry, but if you can't afford to take your cat to a vet - you can't afford a cat. PLEASE get your cat to a vet ASAP! If money is an issue, apply for care credit or see if your vet will work out a payment plan.

If it was clumping clay litter, it can cause a blockage. I really would not have any advice other than calling the vet. Also consider switching to Feline Pine clumping or one of the other natural products like Swheat Scoop or World's Best to avoid future problems with litter eating.

There are no home remedies for poisoning which is what your cat has. Under no circumstances should you give him any human medications to induce vomiting or stop vomiting. Everyone these days is faced with financial problems and unfortunately, vet care is one of the first things to be put on hold. However, vets understand this, and I don't know of any vet who would refuse to treat a deathly ill animal because the owner is facing a financial difficulties.
