My 3 year old female cat isn't peeing in weird places, she is dribbling pee around 1 place?

I used to fill a spare sink with water for my cat to drink out of. Recently the plug has started to leak, so it empties out. When my cat is left alone and the sink is empty, she will dribble pee in the sink and on the counter around it. This is the only abnormal bathroom behavior. She has a drinkwell fountain, so she has plenty of water. Why would she keep doing this, just because she is mad and wants water?

She may just be showing you that the water she prefers is empty. If your kitty is used to having water in the sink (the sink keeps the water cold) try putting a bowl in the sink and putting water and ice cubes in it since the plus isn't working. I had one kitty who whenever her ice cubes would melt she would ask for more. It's worth a try and certainly couldn't hurt. Good luck!
