My 18 year old cat constantly cries. She has cancer and fluid on her lungs.
The medication for the fluid on her lungs makes her eat more and I am up every hour feeding her. She won't let me give her medication in case she is in pain. I also think she is deaf. Could her crying be related to her being deaf or in pain? I have not had a good nights sleep in two years because she cries all night. The vet has given me a pill and I have crushed and mixed it in her food but she senses the smell. Then the vet gave me a liquid in the member of the morphine family but she drulls it out. What could be the reason for her crying? I also lost my other cat 2 years ago. He was 16 years old. Could she still me mourning the loss of my other cat? Help please.

I am sorry that your cat is sick. I hope she feels better soon.
It could be that your cat is crying because of pain. It is also possible that she is crying because she is deaf. I had a cat a number of years ago who went deaf at around age 18, and she suddenly became much louder. I guess that she couldn't hear herself, and so she would really scream. I've never heard a louder cat. So, the deafness may be a factor in your cat's loudness.
Is there anything that soothes your cat at all? Does she cry during the day? If she's quiet during the day, can you think of a reason?
Maybe you could find a way for her to be entertained / distracted while you sleep? Perhaps one of those cat DVDs with mice running around?
