Lola has been with us for 9yrs, we also have another female cat who is 8yrs old that we've had since she was a kitten. We have 2 large litter boxes in the basement that are cleaned out daily. In the last 6 months Lola has decided not to poop in them. At first she just used the basement floor but the last few days she is pooping upstairs on my white carpet:/. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, the vet says she's healthy!

Are the sides of the boxes high? If so, try getting ones that have at least one very low side, since she is older maybe her joints are bothering her. You could also try switching the types of litter you use, the brand you have now may suddenly have started to annoy your kitty (they're weird like that!)
