Must my senior (12 yrs) cat, who is FelLeuk positive still get all her vaccinations?

My cat is Feline Leukemia positive, but not sick other than low white cell counts, and she is almost 12 years old. Are there any vaccinations she MUST still get, or can I stop them all?

If your kitty is indoor only then with your vets approval I would stop vaccinating. Why stress her immune system? If you do let her outdoors I would recommend ceasing that activity because its unfair to expose other kitties to the disease.

I did some research on your question and found an article by a vet who does recommend continuing vaccinations for FeLeuk positive kitties only because they may be more susceptible to other diseases. I would follow your vet's advice on this one, but please know that FeLeuk positive kitties can live long lives with the proper care and maintenance.
