More information for person with week-old orphan kittens!

I found this recipe for something called "Kitten Glop" and the poster says it is excellent for orphan kitens

1 can evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
2 tbsp. plain yogurt (not low or non fat)
2 tbsp. mayonnaise (real not light or No-Fat)
1 tbs. Karo Syrup (light)
1 pkg. Knox unflavored gelatin
1 egg yolk (beaten,)
1 cup Pedialyte (unflavored)
1- 2 jars Stage One Baby food (chicken or turkey)
. If you have access to all the ingredients, you may want to give it a try...

I'm sorry, but I do not agree with giving orphan kittens this recipe for the following reasons: 1) kittens cannot tolerate most of the ingredients listed in this recipe; 2) baby foods must not have any garlic or onion in them in order for it to be safe for a kitten; 3) dairy products listed are not tolerated by newborn kittens; and 4) people will use whatever they can in place of what you have listed. Sorry, but this is not a good idea to list this here. Any vet would advise "Kitten Replacement Formula" if there is no nursing mama around.
