Is there a feral cat shelter in the San Pedro/Harbor area of LA?
there is a colony of 13 feral cats in San Pedro, CA who really need to move to a safe location. The owner of the bushes they have live in for years is now ripping out the bushes. Also too, the area is changing. Too many mean people out walking pitbulls now cruise the area, looking for live prey for their dogs. The cats are way too exposed now.
If anyone can help, even if it is in the valley, let me know. Thanks!

Typically when a colony of feral cats are in a truly hostile environment the most viable solution to save them is to get them trapped, neutered, and sent to live as barn cats or warehouse mousers- "feral cat shelters" or refuges are very rare with limited space. Unfortunately very few single farms or warehouses are looking for 13 more cats at once, so trying to find rehoming locations all on your own could be difficult. Barncats, Inc. has 4 listings for California programs that help place barncats- www.barncats.org and Alley Cat Allies www.alleycat.org can help you find the nearest trap-neuter-return groups that may be able to help you.
Good luck- we hope you find the local assistance you need! Thanks for sticking up for us feral cats.
