It depends on how old they are, but I've seen kittens fully weaned by six weeks. It's a gradual process of mixing in from cat milk to wet food to dry. Litter train them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If their mom is not around, use a training litter and show them what to do. You do not want them defecating all around your home because they have not been trained. Also take them to the vet to make sure they are dewormed and have all of their shots. A good kitten wet food to transition to is MaxCat kitten cans in chicken/liver or chicken/oceanfish. ^_^
