I (think I) see a little tail from my 5 month old female cat's 'baby hole'. Could she be pregnant?

I need an answer fast!

5-months? She's old enough that she could possibly have her first heat and *get* pregnant, but gestation is about 9 weeks so you wouldn't worry about a birth or even a premature birth until she's at least 6 and a half months. If it looks like there is a "tail" coming out of her vagina that is certainly cause for concern- if you're not really familiar with cat hind-ends it could just be a male cat with undescended or deceptively small testes, otherwise if you're absolutely sure she's female a vet should have a look at it. She (or he?) is the perfect age to be fixed anyways so why not make a pre-surgical appointment with your vet and have her checked out, get started on vaccines, and schedule her for surgery if there is nothing majorly wrong?

When kittens are born, they are encased in an amniotic sac, which Momcat rips open with her mouth. Yes, newborn kittens have tails, but the only way a tail could be seen coming out of the vagina would be in the case that the amniotic sac had burst inside the female's body. This would be a medical emergency. A birth that starts and then stops would also be a medical emergency. By now, if it really were childbirth, you would probably know. Maybe you have the holes mixed up, and it is a worm coming out of the anus? (Gross, I know.) In any event, you should have your kitty seen by a vet without delay. And I second the idea that now is a good time to spay her. Once she is spayed, you won't have to worry about pregnancy anymore

I would say most likely no, it might just be some type of worm, but seeing a vet would be the best thing to do.
