We just saw the vet who expressed the glands. I did not try b/c I did not want to do it wrong.

Ive never done this myself either b/c it's gross, stinky and I sure wouldn't want anyone pinching ME back there. Vets are trained on how to do it, anyway. Chances are your kitty may have an infection back there and expressing the glands may have caused further itching even though they're emptied. Call your vet and ask them if they think Kitty should be on an antibiotic or anti-inflammatory. If his glands were very impacted, this may be what it is.
