I have noticed scabbing on my cats back above her tail along with her face and ears. What's causing it and how to fix it

Scabbing along the spine is a good sign of fleas. You can't always see them. Mine got them last year and until I was bitten myself I truly didn't believe it could be fleas. Do you use Frontline, Revolution or another good quality flea preventative? If you are already treating her for fleas then I would take her to the vet to find out what is causing the scabbing. She may have allergies and be causing the scabs herself by scratching and biting herself. It may be something as simple as an ingredient in her food but the vet can make some suggestions on what to try that might help.
