I am unemployed. Is there any brand of wet food for kittens that is grain free and cheap?

I dont have alot money as i am unemployed. I cannot afford to feed them evo and merricks and all the real expensive brands at this time. I would very much like to feed them wet food. Is there there any brand of wet food thats cheap and grain free?

Not sure where you live by if you are on the West Coast and hear a Trader Joes their own brand canned food is good quality. It does have some rice in it a few ingredients from the start but it is good and the main ingredients are meat or fish and not byproducts or anything. My cats all like it and it is only 59 cents for a 5.5 oz can so is very good value. Its a complete food so is good for cats and kittens.

I feed my cat Wellness grain free canned and dry food. I don't know what the price comparison is to Evo and Merrick, but I would just go to a pet store and compare prices. There are quite a few grain free brands out now that are decent. You just have to take the time and price shop. Hope you find some work soon. Good luck.

Try going online to Petfood Direct or type in "ProPac". This is a great brand for much less (although people began to use it more during the ricin scare). You may also want to buy the large cans (13.5 oz I think) of the Wellness brand soft food. These large cans are good for two or more meals depending on how many cats you have.

Honestly, when I had financial pbs last year and EBT/Welfare didn't cover cat food I chose Friskies "pate" soft food. It's actually pretty good & CHEAP. Sometimes a supermarket has good store brand wet food and weekly sales like 10 cans for $10. Save the money you do have for the GRAIN FREE DRY FOOD. The dry food and amount left out will effect the sugar levels, weight gain etc much more than the wet. Unless they need a totally free grain diet. It's all about budget & balance for now.

Here is a list of cheaper wet foods that are good, note only certain flavours. Whiskas Savory Ground pate - Chicken dinner, Mealtime, Bits 0 beef, Turkey and Giblets,( not Whiskas in gravy) The savory ground is vegetable and grain free.

9 Lives - Chicken dinner, Chicken and Tuna dinner, Turkey dinner, Chicken & Seafood dinner, Liver &Bacon Dinner, Prime grill with Beef.

Friskies- Supreme Supper, mixed grill, Country style dinner, Poultry platter, Turkey and Giblets dinner.

Pro Plan- Adult Chicken& liver entree, adult Turkey & Giblets entree

There is also a list of the Fancy feast flavours that are ok too and do not contain gluten, but we think they are pretty expensive,
