I''m not sure that's possible--like they used to say Maine Coon cats were part raccoon. A vet told me once that in the hills of West Virginia, domestic cats mated with bobcats. He told me you can tell by the ear tufts and the facial shape. However, I think he was pulling my leg because I now have a Maine Coon mix who also has ear tufts of fur and the same markings as my previous kitty, and he's not no-how mixed with a bobcat. But then again, wolves do mate with dogs (and the result can be pretty darned nasty if you're not careful.) I'd contact your local park system's naturalist to ask.
