How to get a fat cat off of a lot of food, lol

I have a pig of a cat! who mostly eats anything like a dog...She is practically a very fat cat..and I am tryig to put her on a diet but tipically dont know where to begin...Could you kittys help meh?..

Hi! Cats, like overweight people, can only lose weight if they eat less and exercise more, You may need to put your kitty on a "playtme" regimen where you play with her with something like a "fishing pole" type toy or anything to get her up and moving. A laser light will work also,but be sure not to shine it in her face. Your vet is the best one to consult on her diet and how much and how to feed her. If you don't already have a vet, now might be a good time to find one. Vets are not only for "shots and check-ups", they can slso counsel you on how to feed her and what to feed her. A fat cat can rapidly become very compromised as far as health issues go, just like people. It's hard on her heart and other systems. Please consult with your vet for further advice on how to get her ready for bathing suit season ;-)

I agree with the previous answer. She needs more exercise. Try feeding her light or weight management food too. My cat is not an active cat, plus she is a naturally big breed. I feed her Evo Weight Management Dry Food & it does make a difference.

Dry kibble is not a species appropriate diet.
It is very common for dry food eaters to be over-weight, dehydrated, barfers, etc.
