How often should you clip your cats toenail?

For an indoor cat, I'd say you should trim their claws every two weeks. If they still seem short, then go every 2-4 weeks.

For indoor/outdoor cats, you should not trim or blunt their claws at all, they need them for defense and they can wear them down on their own by scratching on tree bark.

I think you only need to trim nails for indoor cats. When my kitty was little, her nails grew fast so I trimmed them at least once per week. Now that she's an adult cat, I check and trim them about every 2 weeks.

mummy clips my claws when I start sticking to the soft furniture eg, get stuck in the bedspread etc! A sure sign they are getting too long!
