I've never had a cat with kittens, but I do know that the average gestation period is between 60 and 67 days. If it's been longer, take her to the vet. Spaying her will save you the confusion and a lot of stress in the future.

In this respect, cats are much more efficient than Humans. The gestation period is usually 63 days. Leila had her first litter of seven kittens on day 62. You have a cat. You have Internet access. Do your Internet research, and make sure to find a good vet with emergency service. Cats are fecund and healthy creatures. I would guess that the birth will go well, but will you be able to place the kittens in good homes? I am a licensed breeder of Maine Coons in Japan, and I have been VERY selective of the homes I've found for them. I am not doing this for the money. They are my children. I have one cat left to find a home. In my case, I used my own breeder's stud cat as the father (no relation to the female) and knew exactly when the birth was about to take place. I don't know your situation. Are you taking in a homeless pregnant cat? Is your cat a barn cat? Other Catsters will tell you this: find the kittens good homes, and spay Kitty afterwards.
