how do i find out my cat breed?

hes all black. yellow eyes. very hairy all year around,

He's a Domestic cat unless you got him form a breeder and you have papers.
Since we have no picture and only your description he's most likely a Domestic Medium or Domestic Long hair cat.

Most cats don't have a "breed." They may or may not have a Persian or a Siamese in their genetic soup, but unlike dogs, cats are usually just cats. No problem with that, as long as you are loved.

An interesting cat website to go to is the Cat Fancier's one. It's www.cfa.org. They have photos of all breeds of cats. You can go there and pick out which cats your's looks like and that will give you an idea of his family tree.
