How can I safely remove some matted hair in Keesters fur??

Keester has NEVER had this problem before until recently. There are a couple or three places of matted fur on her about the size of a nickel. How can I safely remove it possibly without her knowledge and that it wont hurt her skin or her fur?? Thank You.

Wait until she's sleeping, and then sneak up to her with a sharp scissor behind your back and then cut them out. You will probably only be able to get one at a time. The fur grows back in no time- I have a fluffy one who's always getting matted, and this is what works best for us... ^_^
