Help! My Cat's eye is bleeding!

My dog Presley snapped at her, and now her eye is bleeding. She's really young. About maybe 2 or 3 months. How can we help the bleeding stop?!

Your cat needs to see a vet ASAP! She probably needs stitches and antibiotics. Please take your cat to a vet for proper veterinary treatment today.

You need to take her to the vet...NOW!!!! Eye problems of any kind are always considered an emergency and should be treated as such. The longer you wait with eye problems the more likely there will be some permanent damage.
Since there is bleeding involved and you don't say whether it's from the eye itself or the skin surrounding the eye it's even more imperative that you be seen asap!

Sounds like you need to keep the dog and cat separated until the kitty is old enough to defend itself against the dog.

It is very important that you see a vet. Since not all of us cat owners have the money to do just that, try calling around to see what vets in town take payments. It is really important that she see a vet right away. The best you can do right now till you take her to a vet is to
watch over her carefully and seperate her from the dog completely. Make sure her wound stays clean by cleaning it ever so often with a warm wash cloth. Note on if her eye is able to move correctly, I am hoping its just a scratch. Please take her to a vet as soon as you can to ensure she will be ok. Make sure to keep it clean. Praying for you and your kitty- Leena and Pierre Henry
