Help me retrain my cat to use the litter box he was sick with crystals in urine.

For a long time, my cat spot has never been able to pee and poop in the litter box. By the beginning of the year, he was diagnosed with Struvite Crystals in his urine, so he began to pee everywhere else besides his usual spot. Now that Spot is better, he still continues to pee on the floor, is there anyway i can train him to use the litter box?
