The best person to answer questions about American Shorthairs and your particular line would be your breeder, or, barring that, any breeder or any group of AS owners (cat shows, websites, etc.). If you got your kitty through a purebred rescue group, they should be able to help you. And of course your vet can tell you if your cat is a healthy weight or not.
