Dry Food vs. Store Wet Food vs. Raw Food and Home-made food?
I have heard many times that wet food is better than dry food. What about canned wet food vs my homemade wet food? I crushed up my cats dry kibble then added a little water to soften it up. She seemed to like it more than regular dry food. Is it okay to soften it with milk as long as it isn't too much? I've been trying to find food that she likes but she can be picky. Do you have any suggestions on the best and healthiest cat food? And what ingredients should i look for? I do not feed her Iams because they are animal testing jerks. So store wet food, home-made food, or raw food? Which is healthier? If I should do home-made food what should I make?

There are forum topics regarding raw food and many experts who can help you there. I personally would not feed it but it is your choice. No, you should not wet the dry food with milk unless it is the kind of milk sold at pet stores and meant for cats. They can't digest cows milk and it may cause diarrhea. If she prefers her kibble wet, then that is fine except that you need to be sure not to leave it out too long if she doesn't finish it. Any pet food, canned or kibble is better if the main ingredient is the protein source. Meat, chicken or fish. "by products" and "by product meal" make me shudder. Also avoid too much corn, wheat and soy. Cats do not need grains and if there is more of that than there is meat, then it's not good. Good brands are not the ones you find in the supermarket. Innova, Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Chicken Soup for the Cat are all good. I feed Royal Canin because my vet recommended a dental diet and I refuse to buy Science Diet.

Raw food is the best. Go to catinfo.org for more information on a proper diet.
Unfortunately, you are not really doing much by rehydrating dry food. This food has likely already been cooked twice (if it contains meat meals, then the protein has been cooked twice), so it is already deficient in nutrients. At least canned food (which has been cooked a lot, but usually only once) retains the original moisture of the food.
Raw diets that I like are Primal and Nature's Variety.
If you can't do raw, at least do a high quality canned diet (preferably low-carb or grain-free) such as:
Nature's Variety Instinct
Blue Buffalo Wilderness
Merrick B.G.
Evo
Evangers
Tiki Cat
Weruva
Honest Kitchen (dehydrated raw)
Wellness
Earthborn Holistic
Good luck!
