Yes, but...

It is important to know that it is dangerous for cats to go outside unsupervised. There are many things that can harm an outdoor cat.... cars, dogs, other animals....

You can take your cat on a leash and harness or pet stroller. Or, provide a nice sunny window :)

kitties can also get sunburned if they have white spots on their little faces where the hair is thin. i let my kitty sit in the sunshine by the open screen door and she loves it. i think the fresh air and natural smells of the outdoors do more good than the sunshine!

Yup! Cats love to "sun bathe". If your kitty is an indoor cat, find a good window and lay out a cat bed on the window seal. If the window seal is too small then get a small table and but the bed on that. Both my girls love there window beds. They nap, watch birds, bugs and other near by animals and soak up the filtered UV. Its not direct UV due to the window and it is a form of vitamin that all critters can enjoy!
