Congestion in cats
I have an 11 year old cat who has some congestions and occasional sneezing.
All of his daily activity and food intake remain normal. Any suggestions for a natural remedy to help him with the congestion?

Remember, we are not vets here and even if we were, we could not diagnose or prescribe treatment for a cat we don't know and have never seen. As much as we'd like to dispense free medical advice to save someone money at the vet's, we can't nor should we for the safety of the cat concerned. Your cat qualifies as a Senior Cat Citizen and with his age come some added responsibility to him. Occasional sneezing is nothing in and of itself. All of us, 2 and 4 legged do it. However, if the sneezing is accompanied by congestion, especially in a senior cat, a trip or at least a call to your vet is in order. Upper respiratory infections or "URI" can progress very rapidly and what would originally have cost just a few dollars for an antibiotic could evolve into an expensive stay at the vet's or emergency clinic. Good luck and hugs to your senior fellow.

Id see your vet. Might need some antibiotics. Sasha was found as a tiny baby near death outside and she has the herpes virus. She is fine but if she is under any stress she starts to sneeze and get really congested. She always breaths a little heavy though as her herpes virus is a little more serious. So Id go to the vet and get it checked out.
