As a former animal rescue worker, I don't even want to imagine what someone might have had in mind for her. But I can tell you that if the cat survived and you haven't yet taken her to a vet, you need to do so immediately. You also need to notify your local animal control officer (through the police), local shelters and rescues and possibly, if you'd consider it, even the local television stations. If someone in your area is abusing animals, you'd be doing other people and their animals a favor by going public with this.
