can a cat get a rabie shot if she is still breastfeeding her kittens

This is just my opinion, but if the mother cat is indoors and happily nursing her kittens, there really is no reason for her to get a rabies shot until the little ones are weaned. Rabies is passed from animal to animal, and unless the mother cat is in danger of being attacked by a rabid animal, the chances of her getting rabies are small to none. I would wait until the babies are weaned before you take her for her vaccinations and (hopefully) to be spayed.
