			<p>He needs to go to the vet. He can't sit because that area hurts. He is trying to tell you something. He probally has a urinary tract infection or something like that, which is easily treated with medication. He is in a lot of pain and the condition could get worse. I don't want to alarm you, but if the condition gets worse and he can't eliminate, he could die from it. <br /><br />

			<p>Obviously he's uncomfortable if he's not sitting and licking so much, and the vocalization is try to tell you something.  

Sounds like your cat may have a urinary tract infection or maybe an anal gland issue, but there's only one way to tell: take him to the vet!
