You must NEVER leave any living thing in a parked car in the summer, even "for a few minutes". They do make "shoulder bag" type carriers that aren't as bulky and unwieldy as a hard carrier. All you'd need to do is transfer your kitty into it and off you go to the loo. Be aware that if you are observed leaving an animal in a parked car in the heat of summer, you can be reported to the authorities and it could cause a fine and court appearance. Just sayin'.

Take your kitty in its carrier with you, especially if it's going to be number two. Otherwise, pee VERY fast.

If you are on your own the safest would be to put the cat in it's carrier and take it in with you. If you are traveling with someone else they can stay with the cat in the car with the engine running and A/C on.
