Unlike dogs, who can drink an entire bowl at once, cats don't really drink that much water. That's why it's always a good idea to feed them wet food each day along with the dry. I have two water fountains for my cats. One is a small "Drinkwell" on their food table and the other is a larger one, a Drinkwell Platinum, that all my animals drink out of. They like the fountain idea-the water comes out the top and is always moving. In the big picture of what we spend on our animals, they aren't that expensive. If you aren't noticing enough urine in his litter box, then call your vet to make sure your kitty checks out OK.
