How can I get my cats back on to cat food?
I've got 2 indoor cats, a boy and a girl, both around 2 years old. Around 4 weeks ago the girls started to suffer from bad diarrhea. This went on for a few days so we took them both to the vet who gave Alice some antibiotics and an injection. We were told to keep them BOTH on a bland diet for a few days so they were just having boiled chicken. Alice's diarrhea went away and all was good. However I have been trying to slowly introduce them back to cat food over the past 3 weeks to no avail! Everytime I add more than a spoonful to their boiled chicken, they are BOTH getting diarrhea. Therefore, I have been feeding them boiled chicken with a teaspoon of wet food and some dry food on top. Is there anyway I can get them back on to cat food now, or has having the chicken now made them intolerance to it? Both are perfectly well otherwise and have good appetites.

I think you are going to have to visit your vet again to discuss this, as it sounds as though your kitties have some sort of intolerance, it may be specific to a certain brand of food or even an additive within it, your vet may be able to help you narrow down options in which you can reintroduce cat food without it upsetting thier tummies....also i know that if i were to boil chicken for my three kittties all the time they would never eat anything else! haha lucky kitties hope all is well
