More information is needed to really address this. Chances are, you need to take the cat to the vet. Are the cat's eyes runny too? If so, it's probably some sort of upper respiratory something or another. Your vet will be able to better figure out what it is and how best to treat it. Most URIs are very easy to treat once you've narrowed down exactly what the problem is.

Laila is right. Even if we were veterinary professionals here, we could not diagnose and suggest treatment for a cat we've never seen and can't do a "hands-on exam" of. If finances are an issue, then speak with the vet and ask them to set up a payment plan for you. I've never encountered a vet who will refuse to treat a sick kitty. Cats with respiratory infections can "crash" pretty fast, so it's best not to wait to call.
