I have two very sick kittens on my hands, approx age 10 days. I have five adult female cats but none of them will take care of the kittens. I believe the mother who's name is Ghost, abandoned them becuase they are sick and she didn't think they would make it. Well I live in Texas and thier little cries brought on a big snake so I pulled them out from under my trailer after watching them several days and seeing no other cats comming to feed them. Now they are in my bedroom in a plastic bin with a blanket. One of the kittens has both eyes sealed shut with mucus and the eyes appear very swollen, the other has one eye sealed shut with mucus and the other eye open. The only way to make them stop crying was for me to hold them and talk to them. Thier names are Skippy and Yoda. I am going to begin hand feeding tommorow. I read up online how to do it safely but I want my kitties to get better and not be so skinny and sickly. Please help me, what can I do? I don't want to loose them.
