19 year old female cat urinating on the floor.

I have a 19 year old female cat who just started urinating on the floor instead of her litter box. Does anyone know what I can do to get her to stop?

If this is something new that she is doing, there could be a medical reason for it and she needs to be seen by a Vet. At 19, it is very possible that she could be experiencing kidney problems. Take her in to the vet and ask for a full blood panel to be run on her. It could be something as simple as an infection, or it could be worse.

Some things you can try is to have more litter boxes available for her to use. Try using some cat attract too.

Good luck and please do have her checked out by the vet.

Your 19-year old kitty definitely needs a trip to the vet. You need to have a senior panel done on her to determine if she has a kidney infection, kidney disease (such as chronic renal failure). Also, you could try providing another litterbox which is lower for her to get into. This definitely sounds like a medical issue (considering her age) and not a behavioral issue. Please take her to the vet and find out if she is sick. Good luck.
